Weekly: Speedrenting

Weekly: Ewelme Cottage
JEwelme Cottage is a house museum in Parnell, an inner suberb of Auckland. It was built in 1863-64 for the Rev. Vicesimus Lush, a Church of England clergyman, his wife Blanche and their six children. It was continuously occupied by the Lush family until 1968.
Ewelme cottage contains remarkable collection of the furniture and belongings of the Lush family, assembled over a period of 105 years.

Introducing Detective Dick Sharp...

Detective Dick Sharp has been on The Poisoners! case for quite some time – but so far his sleuthing skills haven't uncovered the killer. Now he's set aside some of his precious time to spend at the Museum helping other would-be detectives crack the case.
Join him in The Poisoners! exhibition for tips on how to be a detective and finding clues – he may even share some of his own breakthroughs on the case. Just remember there's a reason he hasn't solved the case yet, so don't trust everything he tells you.
Styled on the best traditions of film noir detectives, Sharp is sure to entertain – and sure to close the case!

The Acoustic Sessions
Auckland Museum is opening its doors to established and up-and-coming musicians this summer.

Habitat for Humanity - BigCityBuild

New Zealand House and Garden Tours
The NZ House & Garden Tours return to Auckland in 2012! This hugely successful fundraising event, now in its fourth year, gives you the chance to take a peek inside some of the city’s most spectacular homes and gardens, all in aid of two very special charities.
This year's Auckland tour, taking place on Friday March 9, includes an eclectic mix of homes from Mt Eden, Epsom and Parnell to the Eastern Suburbs. It will open the doors on some of the city's most interesting and inspiring properties, many of which have never been opened to the public before.
This unique fundraising event aims to raise more than $200,000 for the Cancer Society of New Zealand and Look Good Feel Better charities to help reduce the incidence and impact of cancer, as well as pomote the confidence and wellbeing of women currently undergoing treatment. All proceeds received are being allowcated to the six regional divisions of the Cancer Society of New Zealand and the regional branches of Look Good Feel Better.
Step inside the pages of NZ House and Garden this March, enjoy an outing with family and friends, be inspired and support two wonderful charities all in one very special day out.
Tour details will be sent out approximately one week before the event. There will be no door sales, no children and, apologies, no wheelchair access.
