Auckland Catholic Music Schola
The Auckland Catholic Music Schola specialises in liturgical performance of the traditional music of the church, especially Gregorian chant and Renaissance polyphony. It sings for Sunday Mass at St John the Baptist in Parnell approximately twice a month. New members are welcome in all voice parts; regular practices are 6.15-7.30 pm each Wednesday at St John's.

Black & Bling
Black & Bling is a social women’s group, based in Parnell, targeted at corporate women, single and married, who are seeking fun, friendship and sisterhood.

Meets: We meet fortnightly on a Thursday, generally at 6.30 pm (depending on the theme for the evening).  We also intend to include activities at other times, say a weekend movie, walk, or a picnic for those interested.

Since we’re all busy people, there’s no commitment to attend regularly.  Just come along and you’ll be made welcome.  If you have a friend who may be interested, please feel free to bring her along. There’s no cost except a nominal amount per meeting to cover some finger food.

Parnell Baths
A hop, skip and a jump from the city, Parnell's 60 metre salt water pool is a one-of-a-kind in Auckland. Located in Auckland's waterfront, the pools have recently been upgraded and are a great place for the whole family to enjoy - especially the water playground for kids.

The pools feature: 60 metre pool . water playground and toys . partially heated children's pool . three hot pools: adult, child and toddle . lounging chairs . all weather cafe . rooms and lanes for hire . learn to swim programme . limited parking is available off Judges Bay Road, alternative parking and entrance from Tamaki Drive and St Stephens Avenue.

Opening hours: This outdoor pool is open from approximately the first weekend in November to Easter each year. Monday to Friday - 6am to 8pm; Weekends and public holidays 8am to 8pm.

Parnell Swimming Club is one of New Zealand's most successful swimming clubs. Under its Director of Coaching Bernie Poole, the club is focussed on delivering a "Pathway to Excellence" for all its swimmers. Our training base is at the Sacred Heart College in Glen Innes, which boasts a world class 25m training facility and an outdoor 33m pool. The club also trains in the indoor facility (33m) at the Lagoon Complex in Panmure.

St Johns - Free CPR Training
Every year, St John Ambulance Officers are called to more than 1,000 cardiac arrest cases in people's homes and workplaces. If someone on the spot knew basic CPR, more lives could be saved. That's why ASB and St John are working together to provide free CPR training for 10,000 New Zealanders.
