New Zealand's oldest suburb is famed for its galleries, cafés, restaurants and charming boutique-style stores. Enjoy the special unhurried village character of Parnell's shopping centre, where you're sure to find something quite unique. Wander a little further to explore Parnell's beautiful parks and remarkable historic buildings.

Downtown Auckland is only 10 minutes away on the LINK Bus which runs through Parnell every 15 minutes from Monday to Sunday.

Parnell's up-market village shopping area features an international line-up of more than 40 restaurants, cafés and bars; Aucklands largest art gallery precinct; boutiques, quality craft shops and a collection of Auckland's best jewellers.

Check out Parnell's Nightlife. On the second Thursday of each month, Parnell's galleries stay open until 7.30pm for late night art - the perfect entrée to a night at one of Parnell's wonderful restaurants.

For a change of pace, explore Parnell's rich history. Take a guided Parnell heritage walk or print off a guide to take your own stroll through our neighbourhood and discover Parnell's iconic heritage buildings. Must see's include St Mary's in Holy Trinity Cathedral, Auckland War Memorial Museum, and our renown Parnell Rose Gardens - overlooking Auckland Harbour and picture perfect in summer. Auckland Council's Parnell Festival of Roses celebrates the new season's blooms late October/ early November.

To enjoy all this, stay close by in boutique Parnell accommodation - we're only a short 10-minute LINK bus ride from downtown Auckland!

Parnell is Auckland's creative quarter, home to advertising agencies, architects, engineers, interior designers, web developers, fashion designers and, of course, Auckland's largest art gallery precinct. It's a great place to have a business and to work in - the area's buildings are human-scale, with cafés and public areas encouraging friendly exchanges. This beautifully situated business area, right next to the CBD, offers fast access to the rest of Auckland with motorway exhanges off Stanley Street.
