NZ Bus's Link Bus is the smartest way to get around. Whether you're a visitor to Auckland, a daily commuter, a student or a lunchtime shopper, The Link bus service is the most convenient way to move around central Auckland.
It travels both clockwise and anti-clockwise at the same time in a loop that includes QEII Square, Railway Station, Parnell, Newmarket, Karangahape Road, Ponsonby and Queen Street. And because The Link service has a 10 minute frequency between 6am and 7pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday 7am-6pm, and 15 minute frequency in the evenings and at other times on the weekends, there's no need to worry about a timetable. More buses through Parnell
Fare: $1.60 from downtown Auckland to Parnell.
In addition to The Link Bus, Stagecoach buses 655 and 635 also travel from downtown Auckland through Parnell, departing from bus stop D11 on the sea-side of Customs Street, between Queen Street and Commerce Street (opposite the Citibank building). Both buses travel to Parnell, then through Newmarket and along Remuera Road to Glen Innes.

Pay & Display Parking - everywhere
New to Auckland - Pay for as much time as you need!
Most car parks in commercial areas of Parnell Road are now unrestricted Pay & Display parking from 8am – 6pm Monday – Saturday (except public holidays). No charge on Sundays.
There is no time limit - the user chooses how long they wish to stay. Minimum of $1 for half an hour; $2 for the first hour; $3 for the second hour; $4 for the third hour and $5 for each additional hour. (For example, choosing to park for 3 hours would cost $9.)
There are an additional 33 Pay & Display car parks on Garfield Street, between Parnell Road and Bath Street (under the V building), including 25 undercover 2-hour parks.
This central Parnell Road car park, opposite the ANZ Bank, has 22 street level pay and display car parks. Parking rates are $2.50 per hour, for a maximum 4 hours, from 6am - 6pm. The ticketing machine takes credit cards.
Evening Parking: From 6pm, restaurant-goers can park anywhere in this parking complex for a flat rate of $7.50.

Shops, including the cafe and restaurant, located in the Foundation Building at the corner of George St and Parnell Road, are well served with plentiful free customer parking at the rear of the building.
Entry via George or Titoki Streets and Parnell Road.
Open 7am - 7pm. $5 per hour and the first hour is free upon payment of your Museum donation.
Validate your carpark ticket at the cashiers desk inside the Museum.
Early bird parking on offer weekdays at just $7 per day. Be in by 9am and out by 7pm; one entry / exit with pre-payment at the pay stations in the stairwell.

Parnell Mainstreet is the association of more than 400 Parnell businesses along Parnell Road, Parnell Rise and nearby streets. It's funded by
a separate rate on commercial properties within its boundary area,
collected by Auckland City Council. This funding is used to employ
a full-time manager and, among other activities, support a series of
regular promotional activities such as the two annual Parnell Market Days and the Rose Festival in November. Parnell Mainstreet also sponsors the monthly Parnell community magazine, The Parnell Darling, which was launched in May 2004.
Parnell Mainstreet provides a number of free services for members including rapid graffiti-removal, Parnell Wireless, night security patrol, free member seminars and networking events including Speed Dating for Businesses and a weekly email newsletter.
