Two Kiwi icons are coming together to create new summer memories as Tip Top announces an exciting partnership with the historic Parnell Baths ahead of the summer season. The collaboration brings the two celebrated Kiwi institutions together, ensuring Parnell Baths’ café is fully stocked with both classic and brand-new frozen favourites.
Parnell Baths, itself a landmark that opened over 110 years ago in March 1914, will officially open for the summer season on Saturday, November 1st, 2025.
“This partnership is a perfect blend of history, sun, and sweet memories,” says Tip Top CEO Ben Schurr.
“Tip Top has been a part of the Kiwi summer experience for nearly a century, celebrating 90 years this October. There’s no better place to enjoy a classic ice cream than at the edge of Auckland’s most iconic saltwater pool. We’re thrilled to ensure swimmers can refuel with a Tip Top break.”
The summer partnership marks the debut of several exciting products poolside, including the launch of the new Trumpet Choc Bar and Popsicle Watermelon. Most notably, the partnership will celebrate the return of the iconic fan favourite, Toppa, a nostalgic treat for many bathers.
The Pools will be open to the public daily, offering extended hours for the season:
- Weekdays from 6AM to 8PM
- Weekends from 8AM to 8PM
Needing any more reason for family fun this summer? Parnell Baths offers free swimming for all children aged 16 and under in line with Auckland Council’s free swimming policy.
