Executive Committee & Staff Contacts

The office of the Parnell Business Association is staffed by a General Manager (Cheryl Adamson), Marketing & Communications staff and a Digital Membership & Crime Prevention Manager (Rachel Douglas-Bell). 

A volunteer Executive Board Committee signs a Board Charter and supports the endeavours of the association in a governance role and meets regularly with the Parnell Business Association office.

  • Effective governance – The Executive Board of the BID-operating business association is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the BID programme and the association (working alongside the local board),  full compliance with the policy including accountability for the BID programme and BID targeted rate grant.
  • Sound operational management – The BID programme management team is responsible for ensuring the delivery of the association’s strategic and business plans.

The committee below was confirmed at the AGM held on the 28 Sept 2022. Members of the board can be elected at the AGM to a maximum of 11 voting members, plus 2 non voting members co-opted by the committee in addition to that. Members who have an interest in serving on the executive committee should contact cheryl@parnell.net.nz, and all nomination forms, information and procedures are included in the AGM invitations. 

The association operates under their own Constitution and the relationship between Auckland Council and business association is guided by a BID Policy, which was updated in 2022.
