The Nativity Project 2020: NO ROOM
Viewing from Sunday 29 November
Mon – Sun | 10am – 3pm
Holy Trinity Cathedral aims to highlight the issue of homelessness in Auckland with a ‘Homeless Nativity’ installation on the Cathedral forecourt, viewable throughout Advent. In addition they are working with the Auckland City Mission to facilitate a massive food can drive in order to build a Christmas tree of cans in the Cathedral crossing. Help them build their Nativity Tree by bringing a can of food to add to their tree when you visit.
A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols
Sunday 20 December | 7:30pm
Holy Trinity Cathedral
A favourite service of the Advent season, the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols contains a series of short Bible readings interspersed with congregational hymns and carols sung by the Cathedral Choir. This year, the readings will be given by essential service workers in celebration of those who worked diligently, often compromising their own safety to help New Zealanders in a time of crisis. Featuring a new commissioned work by an upcoming Kiwi composer.
