While they should be in our thoughts often, ANZAC Day reminds us to stop and take a second to both remember fallen New Zealanders, honour the servicemen and women who returned from the war and think about those who are serving today. While many events have been cancelled in the wake of the Christchurch attack, the Auckland Domain Dawn Service will still go ahead to honour this special day.
Auckland Domain Dawn Service
Arguably the only way to begin any ANZAC Day, the annual dawn parade will be once again taking place in front of the War Memorial Museum in the Domain. Kicking off at 6am, the initial dawn service will give way to a medley of other events, competitions, services and musical events as the day goes on.
