How you can join in with the celebrations of Chinese New Year
“Parnell Monkey Exhibition”
An exciting exhibition will showcase 30 life-sized monkey art pieces over two weeks. Led by Parnell galleries, well-known artists and celebrities add their creative touch to these sculptures. It will conclude with an auction for the Starship Foundation at Webb’s auction house. Saturday February 6 to Sunday 21, 46-545 Parnell Rd.”

Thanks to the generosity and fun-loving spirit of various artists and local celebrities like Mark Wallbank and Trelise Cooper, a tribe of life size monkey art pieces will pop up all over Parnell. Not willing to miss out on the fun, Parnell’s prized establishments and cafes will also be dabbling in a little monkey business with merchandise and menu options, creative window displays and themed surprises to delight both the young and young at heart. Then, on Saturday February 13th, to commemorate the Chinese New Year festivities, you’re invited to witness not one but two thrilling lion dance performances in Heard Park.
