24 September—7 October
We invite you to the joint exhibition by Elizabeth Rees and Matthew Williams. This Show is a combination of paintings (Rees) and sculpture (Williams).
Featured artworks: ‘Profuse’ by Matthew Williams, ‘On The Beach’ by Elizabeth Rees
Elizabeth Rees—The Bay

Elizabeth Rees paints rich and moody landscapes that have a psychological element. Each enigmatic space conjures the feeling of isolation, potential and mystery. She achieves this through a controlled and unique use of paint. Rees works on carefully primed canvases, enhancing the luminous qualities of oil paint.
Matthew Williams—Morphology

Matthew Williams is a Christchurch-based sculptor working in a range of materials including: bronze, timbers, marble, concrete, steel and more. His passion for architecture and design can clearly be seen in his work and many of his pieces are kinetic. Working in both natural and man-made materials, he explores the fundamentals of form. Strong lines and sweeping curves create a mesmerising quality, the movement is dynamic and the expression is clear.
