Floral Delight for the month of April
Lynley Brownridge is a Central Otago based artist who creates exquisite floral paintings with a focus on dramatic and compelling light effects. Working in oil on stretched canvas, Brownridge creates compositions that are simultaneously dramatic and peaceful.
Flowers are a recurring theme in Brownridge’s life, as the artist describes “flowers have always been a part of my world…from the flowers that my Mother grew and her encouragement in my love of gardening, to my work in horticulture, and now through my art.”
Brownridge aims to capture moments of time in nature and present them with a fresh and dramatic perspective. Her arrangements seem to glow from the canvas and demonstrate the pure magic of nature.
