Across sixteen evocative new works in his debut solo exhibition at Parnell Gallery, Elliot Love documents his profound fascination with cars dating from the 1960s to the late ‘90s. Depicting the cars and their surroundings in finely detailed compositions, Love immortalises his subjects as though they are treasured artefacts of a near-diminishing era.
Working in oil or acrylic on canvas and board, Love’s works are predominantly presented in small-scale, provoking inspection with an invitation to linger within his meticulously detailed urban landscapes.
