Faraday’s Bar Now Open – A Divine Escape for the Senses

  • Published January 26, 2022
  • in Eat & Drink, General News

Having graced Parnell with its presence in November last year, luxury emporium and gallery Faradays has now added another enticing facet to its offering, with the opening of Faraday’s Bar.

Within the innovative new retail environment, adjacent to their offering of some of the world’s most coveted luxury brands such as Givenchy, Loewe, Louboutin and more, the exquisitely appointed bar sits as the jewel in the crown of the revered luxury department store, in Parnell’s iconic Textile Building.

Welcomed by a towering Tony Cragg sculpture on entrance, the in-house bar features a wine list and bar menu as covetable as the designer list, sure to appease every palate.

Patrons can ejoy a moment of pure escapism via the French-dominant wine offering from Maison Vauron, with everything from Domaine Etienne Sauzet’s Les Combettes to Bordeaux’s Chateau Margaux. The list also features noteworthy inclusions from Italy and New Zealand, such as Tenuto San Guido’s Sassicaia all the way to Hawke’s Bay’s award-winning Craggy Range Les Beaux Cailloux.  And for those who can’t go past a perfectly chilled glass of champagne, pick from the premium list of offerings from the Maisons of Ruinart, Krug and Dom Pérignon (including limited edition pours found at no other bar in the country), or enjoy a bottle of Veuve Clicquot’s prestige cuvee, La Grande Dame, for which Faraday’s Bar is the official flagship home, in the Southern Hemisphere.

Those who wish to enjoy a small bite can select from the delectable snack menu prepared by head chef, Sarah Ginella, served on custom Ginori 1735 plate ware; think French fries with truffle crème, tuna Niçoise and a mouth-watering Wagyu cheeseburger.

The discretely luxurious, comforting, and enveloping space has been thoughtfully designed by Cheshire Architects, with all-natural materials from every corner of the world, including custom Italian Henge leather seating, silk, wool and canvas cloth textures, brass fixtures, tables made of Patagonian and Norwegian Marble, and Te Kuiti Limestone. Discover the tantalising offering fit for a light lunch, a celebratory evening or simply a quick moment of sublime decadence to lift your day.

FARADAY’S BAR, inside the luxury department store opens for trading at midday, Wednesday 12 January 2022 at No. 8 Faraday Street, Parnell, Auckland.

Walk-ins are welcome, or bookings can be made at faradays.store, by calling +64 (0) 9 217 1017, or by emailing [email protected]

The new Faraday’s Bar also featured recently in Deinzen. You can read their article here.
