Gerome is influenced by the Greek way of cooking, the changing seasons and the abundance of New Zealand produce. The meat, fish and seafood are cooked on the chargrill and wood-fire then paired with the best Aegean cheeses, herbs and flavours.
Using their style of Greek flavours and techniques they have given their interpretation of the elements – Ahi (drawing from the wood fire barbecue) and Whenua (grass fed New Zealand lamb). Gerome have created a traditional Greek Stifado of lamb shoulder slow cooked with onions, tomato and cinnamon. A perfectly seared loin of lamb is rolled in a burnt leek ash to heighten the smoky flavour, offset by a creamy hung yoghurt and a fresh cucumber purée. Garnished with different onion textures for bite and a classic melitzanosalata of barbecued eggplants.

Heard Park is the location for a set of immersive, sculptural and light installations by ‘HYBYCOZO’, Stunning, enigmatic and immersive sculptures that are internally lit and create a surreal ambience, day and night, throughout the month of July.
Each Friday evening in July (5th, 12th, 19th and 26th, from 6pm-6.45pm, four otherworldly travellers will activate Heard Park and amplify the play of geometry, light and shadow created by the HYBYCOZO installation in a series of dance rituals dedicated to the four classical elements; Earth, Air, Fire and Water. The performers appear as mystical intergalactic vikings with large costume and prop pieces that draw inspiration from mystic symbolism, the vikings and the cosmos.
