Auckland’s Parnell Gallery has set up an online way for art lovers to ‘view’ a piece in their own home – perhaps for that new office or the bedroom you’ve been meaning to decorate for some time.
The methodology is simple. First browse through the myriad of paintings by established and emerging New Zealand artists on the gallery website (parnellgallery.co.nz) and choose one or two that capture your imagination. Then, send the gallery a front-on photograph of the space you wish to enliven, include a note on its dimensions and, by the magic of Photoshop, you will receive an image of the work virtually ‘hung’ in your own home.
