New Zealand’s and Nepal’s true friendship takes us back to 1953 when Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa climbed to the top of the world- Mt. Everest (also known as Sagarmatha in Nepali) for the very first time and now after 62 years we are here to strengthen the historical and unforgettable bond by offering true Nepalese hospitality and award winning Nepalese cuisine.
Lady June Hillary (wife of late Sir Edmund Hillary) was the guest of honour at the opening ceremony followed by the Everest group’s UK Chairman Pashupati Bhandari, John Lawrence from the Auckland Chambers, Gerard Smith from Face Time TV and Kevin Harvey (son of the renovator of the historic quarters of Parnell’s, saviour- Les Harvey). At the opening ceremony in Parnell honourable Consulate of Nepal to New Zealand, Lady Hillary and the group’s Chairman Pashupati Bhandari jointly cut the ribbon and lighten the candle then announced the official opening.
The Everest Dine Group really looks forward for a great success in New Zealand by working together with the local community and by strengthening their historical bond between two great nations.
