Join us for the 2026 NZ International Music Competition Awards & Charity Symphony Gala, an inspiring evening celebrating outstanding young musicians, international artists and the power of music to bring communities together.
Presented as the official Closing Awards Concert of the 2026 NZ International Music Competition, this special event features a full symphony orchestra, distinguished guest artists and the world premiere of a newly commissioned symphonic choral work performed in Māori, English and Chinese, celebrating friendship, cultural diversity and unity through music.
This year, the concert has an even greater purpose.
We are proud to partner with Variety – The Children’s Charity, one of New Zealand’s leading children’s charities. 100% of the ticket proceeds from this concert will be donated to Variety to help Kiwi children and families facing hardship.
The music competition is also committed to supporting the next generation of musicians through cash prizes, scholarships, free community competition places and a Young Artist Development Programme, creating meaningful opportunities for young performers across New Zealand.
