Stepping into Natalie Rose Bridal is like entering a world of enchantment, where every visit feels like a princess’s dressing room. They believe that choosing your wedding dress should be a magical experience, whether you’re planning a chic, modern wedding or a classic fairytale celebration. This isn’t just any dress—it’s a gown that will be part of one of the most beautiful days of your life.
Their stunning gowns are designed and crafted in Europe, with Natalie personally curating the selection by regularly visiting European trade shows. This ensures that they are able to offer the most beautiful and contemporary designs. Additionally, they provide custom gowns, allowing brides to combine their favourite elements from different dresses to create their perfect bespoke gown. Their in-store process celebrates individuality, ensuring every bride looks elegant and feels beautiful.
Natalie encourages brides to embrace their unique style. Your own sense of style should be your best source of inspiration. Consider the outfits and gowns from your favourite shows and movies that have captured your heart. Analyse your wardrobe to identify necklines and cuts you love. Use this as a starting point, then dive into Pinterest and Instagram for further inspiration. Then once you have a clear vision, start researching bridal stores and designers that align with your style, then make appointments to explore your options in person.
We asked Natalie about bridal fashion tips and she was a wealth of information:
Basque waists and corsets. These styles are having a huge moment right now, offering a nod to classic elegance. Many brides are opting for big skirts and choosing ball gowns for their ceremonies then switching to more fitted, slinky silhouettes for their receptions. And lastly there’s a growing trend towards personal expression in weddings. Brides have more inspiration than ever and feel empowered to express their unique style, moving away from mainstream, cookie-cutter weddings.

Every dress crafted by Fritz and Sarah is a unique masterpiece, made entirely in-house, Parnell! While they offer a collection and a range of dresses for brides to try on, no dress they create is ever identical to their samples. Each bride is unique, and her dress should reflect that individuality. Fritz and Sarah customise every aspect to ensure their gowns suit their brides perfectly—from tweaking the colour to complement skin tone as well as adjusting all design aspects for the most flattering fit.
Fritz and Sarah recommend limiting your visits to 2-3 bridal shops to avoid information overload and to trust your own feelings. After shopping with family and friends, revisit the dress by yourself to ensure you truly love it and feel amazing in it. It’s easy to be influenced by others’ opinions, the excitement, or even the champagne.
We asked Fritz and Sarah what trends they are noticing in wedding dresses at the moment:
Definitely simpler fabrics i.e. Mikado and Satin—less lace, beading and tulle. Strapless off the shoulder sleeves is also a huge trend right now. And bigger skirts! More A-line, ball gowns and less fitted. But if fitted is the gown choice, it usually comes with a detachable overskirt!

For more than fifty years, Payne Tailors has been a cornerstone of fine tailoring, providing first-class service that speaks volumes about our reputation and commitment to craftsmanship. It’s not uncommon for Payne Tailors to create suits for grooms whose fathers also had their wedding suits tailored by them, highlighting the trust and tradition that spans generations.
At Payne Tailors, every garment is meticulously hand-cut, fitted, and tailored in our own atelier. This not only ensures a product of exceptional quality but also guarantees that each stage of the process is carried out with precision, resulting in a perfect fit and unparalleled feel.
Payne Tailors recommend planning in advance and if possible starting the process six months in advance. Do a bit of research to appreciate the difference between bespoke tailoring and Made to Measure (MTM), which is typically produced offshore. Knowing the nuances can help you make a more informed decision—and they can help explain the difference. Communication and building a relationship is key. Payne Tailors prefer to sit down with clients to understand their likes and dislikes—bringing images in to show them can be particularly helpful in conveying style preferences.
And when it comes to trends, Payne Tailors have noticed more grooms leaning into formality and classic elegance with black tuxedo suits and white tuxedo jackets paired with black trousers. The dandy look (three pieces suits) is also making a comeback, especially with double-breasted waistcoats. Lastly, men are becoming more bold and glamorous, embracing more luxurious patterned fabrics for jackets worn with plain trousers, and rich velvet jackets with silk lapels paired with black trousers featuring silk stripes. It’s clear that men are no longer content with being mere accessories—they want to stand out and look fabulous too!

For those who appreciate the finer things, Working Style is more than a brand; it’s a way of life. Celebrate the timeless elegance and unique character of the modern Kiwi male with them.
Since its inception in 1987, Working Style has become an integral part of New Zealand’s fashion landscape. In the booming 80s, business graduate Chris Dobbs found himself jobless in Auckland, realising finance wasn’t his forte. Embracing the era’s spirit of confidence, he teamed up with his seamstress mother and began selling shirts door-to-door. What started small soon blossomed into the iconic brand, Working Style.
In 1992, Chris’s brother Tim joined, bringing a passion for classic rock and roll and vintage fashion. They opened their first retail store on Parnell Road in Auckland, laying down roots that still thrive today.
For over thirty five years, Working Style has defined the modern Kiwi male’s wardrobe. Their aesthetic blends classic tailoring with a New Zealand perspective. Their clients, from CEOs and sportsmen to creatives, share a strong sense of self and a desire to look stylish without taking themselves too seriously.
The Working Style range spans from renowned shirting and bespoke suiting to crafted casual essentials, covering every aspect of a gentleman’s attire. They have even introduced W By Working Style, a collection of elevated tailored pieces for women, for whom they also offer custom tailoring services.
At Working Style, the customer experience is paramount. Respect and enduring relationships define their service. They offer more than clothes—they also provide an experience and a legacy of style.

Floral Design
What makes Grace & Flora so special? It’s more than just a lifelong passion for flowers that founder and director Hannah Low has—it’s a deep fascination with human nature and the ways we connect with one another. Meeting with clients, hearing their visions, and bringing them to life in the most inspired ways is incredibly stimulating for Hannah and her team.
Hannah has a Fine Arts degree, she approaches her work with a critical design eye, always seeking ways to improve and ensure that each arrangement perfectly suits its environment. This artistic perspective drives Hannah and Grace & Flora to create floral designs that are both beautiful and meaningful.
Unique flowers and unexpected colour combinations are also a hallmark of Grace & Flora. This keeps their work fresh and exciting, and there’s nothing more rewarding for them than seeing people’s reactions to the magic of an unusually beautiful arrangement, often experiencing its beauty or fragrance for the first time. Grace & Flora isn’t just about flowers; it’s about creating unforgettable experiences through the art of floral design.
Hannah’s advice is to have a very open like of communication. Being open about your budget and expectations will help Hannah and her team tailor their services to meet couples needs. With current cost concerns, a skilled florist or stylist can provide invaluable advice on maximising the impact of your flowers within your budget.
And when it comes to reporting on style, originality continues to evolve in wedding celebrations. Couples are increasingly curating one-of-a-kind events that reflect their personalities. Unconventional florals and colour palettes, and unexpected venues are all ways to break the mould and create a truly special day.
