October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Parnell is going Pink to help raise awareness of this disease and support the work of the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation. Check out what’s happening in Parnell.
Pink Star Walk – Join in the fun of walking for a cause by joining of thousands of others in the sponsored Pink Start Walk on Saturday 17 October. You can opt for a 5km or 10km walk, both starting at the Domain. The 10km circuit includes Parnell Road, so if you’re not walking with your friends then join in cheering the walkers as they come up Parnell Road around 6.30-7.00pm on their way back to the Domain.
Parnell Dentistry has joined Dentists for a Cause to support Breast Cancer Month. Patients who book in for treatment on Saturday October 17 will have the satisfaction of knowing that all their fees (less GST) will go to the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation’s research programme.
Century 21 Business Showcase – Parnell business members are invited to join us for the Pink In Parnell business to business network event to help raise money for The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation. As an official Community Supporter for breast cancer awareness, Century 21 are hosting the evening as a fundraising initiative for NZBCF. Take the opportunity to hear Ian Carter, National Manager Century 21, talk about their involvement with NZBCF. Entry by donation please. We will hold several raffles on the evening with some wonderful prizes donated by Parnell businesses.
