The existing road surface has reached its design life and is showing ‘wear and tear’. Maintenance now will minimise risk of further damage and more substantial road repairs.
New asphalt pavement and road markings will maintain the road’s integrity, safety and experience for all road users.
A key focus in planning this work has been to minimise disruption to local businesses, community services/facilities, residents, and the travelling public.
Parnell Road will remain open at all times, however, there will be one-way traffic flow only. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Downer NZ is carrying out this work on behalf of Auckland Transport.
On-street parking will be limited while they carry out the work. You may need to either park on your property or on a side road and walk to your property.
Parnell Road: Work will take place between 7am – 7pm (day shift) & 7pm – 7am (night shift)
St Stephens Avenue: Work will take place between 7am – 7pm
