If you’re looking for some fun activities these April school holidays, there’s plenty happening at the Parnell Library!
8-22 April
Our all holiday long activity! Run around the Auckland Domain and complete this exciting scavenger hunt.
Drop into Parnell Library anytime to pick up your map and questions.
This event is NOT overseen by Parnell Library staff. Caregivers will need to watch their children as they participate in this event.
Tuesday 11 April, 10-11am
To kick off our school holiday program, Parnell Library is hosting an escape room! Well, not quite… we won’t be locking you in the library and forcing you to escape.
However, we will get you to crack codes and solve puzzles that will help you unlock the mystery case and reveal what is hidden inside!
Thursday 13 April, 10-11.30am
Our second exciting event for this school holidays is our Robogals Workshop! During this workshop you will make a robot come to life while learning incredible coding skills.
This activity is presented by Robogals, a group of Auckland University students who aim to promote STEM skills for kids.
No devices needed. Workshop suitable for kids from Year 4 to Year 8.
Booking required to attend this event. Please email ParnellLibrary@aklc.govt.nz to book a place.
Tuesday 18 April, 10-11am
Our second week of school holiday activities is all about volcanos!
Join us for some messy, crafty fun making a papier-mâché volcano.
This activity will lead to our next event…
Thursday 20 April, 10-11am
As the epic conclusion to our exciting school holiday program, join us for The Incredible Erupting Volcano!
For this session we will be using a little science magic. The volcano we made last session will erupt with multi coloured lava!
