Since it opened last year, local brewpub Twofold has become a favourite in the Parnell village, serving up good food, brewing their own beers, and hosting fun events. Now, they are in the running for Estrella Damm Top 50 New Zealand Gastropubs.
Customers of Twofold are made to feel like locals, even if they are not your local. They greet guests warmly and strive to provide everyone with a safe, welcoming and inclusive space to have a good time.
Their open and airy venue is naturally divided into restaurant and pub sections, and they provide guests with a different type of experience based on where they chose to sit. In the restaurant, you will find dressed tables and provide full table service. Staff get to know customers and understand their needs, recommend food and beverages accordingly, and control the pace of their meal.
The pub offers a more relaxed service, where guests are welcome to order at the bar. Bar and floor staff still interact with guests, but allow the customer to take more control of the experience they would like to have.
A key feature of the venue and experience is Twofold’s 800L brewery. Situated right next to the bar, their beers are made a few metres away from where they are poured, which allows customers to really understand the ‘grain to glass’ experience and enjoy brewery fresh beers.
