Parnell is often said to have the most galleries on the one street. White Night is an occasion where the galleries love to showcase local and internationally recognised artists. Eight galleries will be open until late, with a range of works on show, as well as talks by artists and expert staff. From paintings, to glass sculpture to a photographic exhibition; do make it a must to see all eight galleries.
On White Night only, Jonathan Grant Gallery has on display stunning illuminated sculptural works by Susannah Bridges – a must see.
Mossgreen-Webb’s will be open from 6pm-8pm, during which their fine art specialists will be available to discuss rare and exciting works, including a discussion at 7pm on Charles Frederick Goldie paintings, including Ka ra te wera, completed in 1911.
The Kelliher Art Trust will open its doors to showcase a selection of the Trust’s Landscape paintings, with an introduction by their curator at 7.30pm.
Two Tusk Gallery, inside The Elephant House, has an artist talk at 8pm.
